Happy Favourites of the Week – Coffee and Tea

Sunny Day – I can’t remember how many times I’ve actually added sunny days in my happy favourites sections, but it is the one thing that makes me very happy! I left work for another day and went out for a several hour walk and a coffee outside. The sun just nourishes you from inside!

Yoga – I’ve added this into happy favourites before as well. Combined with the sunshine yoga made me feel happy and calm. I actually fell asleep in one very good class. I felt so zen and relaxed! Fortunately, I didn’t start snoring but just dozed in and out of consciousness.

Figure Skating Championship 2017 – I love watching figure skating and the championship is watching the best from the best. Always exciting!

Liquorice and Peppermint Tea – A new Lidl opened close by to our house just a couple weeks ago and I found this amazing tea from there! I love peppermint tea, but sometimes I like something different and this is just the perfect evening tea. The liquorice adds that little bit of sweetness to it as well. Yumm!

Greenery Coffee Table – I am absolutely in love with this coffee table that is easy to make yourself and it is filled with greenery! How lovely would such a coffee table be! I am filing this into my archives to make once I have a space for a coffee table!

“When the Sky Meets the Earth” At Bikini Berlin – A gorgeous installation and a video. The colours are just lovely and I am very sad that I am not visiting Berlin at this time!

Happy 2017 Goals

Happy New Year! I know I am a bit late, but this being the first post in this year I just had to celebrate it! As I was working very hard just before the holidays, I spend my free time literally just resting, relaxing and eating. I had planned to make goals for the following year and lot’s of other things that I don’t usually have time for, but hey ho, the relaxing really rejuvenated me and now I am ready for this year. Last year was the first when I really made goals. I was not happy with my life at that point, mainly because it had no direction and once I had thought about where I want to get I started making goals to keep me in focus. Turns out last year, although many would say was hard and unfortunate, was for me personally enjoyable and successful. I am pretty sure this is due to making goals and not using time on something I don’t see has any place in my life. So naturally I made goals for this year as well and will share few of them with you.

Self-Development

If you have been reading my blog, you might have noticed that I like to develop myself, my skills and learn new things. So most of my goals are in some ways to do with self-development.

  • Learn German – I have been studying german on Duolingo for ages, but I always seem to forget to do it and fall back. Now I am planning to really stick with it raise my fluency score.
  • Read 24 books – This was my goal last year, but I felt short of it by 3 books. I got stuck on a book, which wasn’t bad it just wasn’t moving forward. This year I will beat this goal!
  • Do yoga consistently on a weekly basis – I love doing yoga, but when I get busy and tired I talk myself out of it. I know how good yoga is for me, so I need to be stronger than that and get a grip. 3 times of yoga a week and I am sure I will feel better!
  • Develop my photography skills – I’ve had some lovely comments here on my photography, which I absolutely love to read. I like taking photographs and I want to improve in it. Mostly I want to improve the style of my photography and train my eye to take good photos.
  • Learn more about sustainability, especially withing textiles – I need to read more blog posts, articles, books and watch documentaries on this. Although, I think often that I know a lot I know I have only scratched the top of the issue.
  • Learn to keep plants alive and thriving – I love plants and flowers, but do not seem to be able to keep most of them alive. I seem to be over watering everything except for my succulents which I leave week after week unwatered and they are thriving. I will get a book on how to care for my plants and will do my best at keeping them alive. If there is anybody who would like to help me with this I would love some advice!

The new Harry Potter book!

I am one of those people, who really enjoys the miracle world that J.K. Rowling created, so it is a treat to be able to dive into a new story with my favourite characters. The only thing is, I really want to see the play now!

Happy Dog

This little white puffy headed dog made my day one day when I was commuting to work on a bus. We stopped at a traffic light, when in a car next to me this dog jumped up to look at the view from the car. It was so happy and enthusiastic!

7 season of Gilmore Girls

I’ve finally finished the whole 7 seasons and I am happy for two reasons. One, it was very good tv-show to empty my mind and two, now I again have time to do other things in life!

My calendar

It is late in the year, so this is a strange time to like my calendar, especially as it is not new. My calendar was originally just a notebook, which I filled into a calendar, as I couldn’t find a one that I liked. I enjoy taking my calendar out every single time and filling it in. I have made it just the way I like it and I am sad to part with it at the end of this year. Happily, I still have a bit over 4 months time to use it and start making a new one 😀

Yoga

I’ve had a long break from yoga because of busy busy life, and I could feel it in my body. It was craving the feeling that I get after the exercise and now that I finally got back to doing it, it feels better than ever. Yes, my shoulders and hamstrings are sore at the moment, but it is the good kind of sore!
