These are the Instagram pics that I liked in April.
What Instagram pics did you like in April?
It’s May already, how crazy is that! The start of this year has gone so quickly! The main thing in April was my trip to Finland to see my family and my darling little godson. The trip was enjoyable and heartbreaking. Although, the feeling that people miss you when you are gone is kind of wonderful, at the same time you feel guilt for not being there for them all of the time. It seems I will need to make another trip again soon.
April was the month of Fashion Revolution when you ask brands “Who Made My Clothes?”, I also shared in the same with you the SUSS Kickstarter campaign, which I am eager to know the result off! I shared with you some free classes about sustainability and introduced you to Primrose and Pixie, the sustainable and ethical lingerie and sleepwear brand. In addition, I got really excited about the ReTuna – the mall for recycled and repaired goods.
I was really inspired by spring with all the light and flowers cheering up our days. I shared my favourite Insta pics from March and was really inspired by Coromandel flower illustrations. I tried out a new to me beauty brand Evolve Organic beauty and am sure it is in my beauty routine to stay. I shared some articles about feminism and the first 12 books I’d read in 2017.
How was your April?
After the busy start of the year, March took its toll and I spend most of the month gathering energy until the spring sunny days arrived and I started to feel more like myself again. March did not feel very productive, I am sorry to say, but I did watch a lot of tv and read few books.
A lot of exciting things happened which cheered this month for me. My sister came for a visit and my godson was born. Now I am procrastinating with plans on how to be the best godparent ever and what presents I can buy and make for the little one. His parents should expect him to be spoiled by me!
I got inspired by the rule of the Seventh Generation and I introduced you to the sustainable lingerie brand Anekdot. I wrote 50 facts about myself and gave a recipe for the breakfast (treat) that I’ve had for the past few weeks now.
Overall it wasn’t a busy month. I relaxed a lot and gave myself time to think and rejuvenate myself for the exciting spring and summer months. Now I can’t wait for all the sunny days to come!
What were you up to in March?
Sister for a visit
My sister visited me for a few days. It was right at the time when I needed to see her and we had such a lovely time hanging around Glasgow and chatting a lot! We visited new and old places to eat, got inspired in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and tested our knowledge in Harry Potter trivia (#harrypotter4life).
Ethical Unicorn wrote a post about the Zero Waste Kit by Bag Me. Basically, it was what I have been waiting for!
I often like to try something new and although I have done some sort of boxing before, it feels like something new when you haven’t done it in a long time. It was a lot of fun and really tough! NK also thought me how to do ball hockey shots.
Walks in the sunshine
The weather has actually been quite diabolical these past few weeks, with sunshine, rain and snow all appearing several times within a day. Fortunately, I have managed to get a walk in the sunshine, warming my mind and heart from the cold winter, in between the greyness.
I am not a fan of rain and wind, but when I’m at home and watching the weather changing every 15 minutes it does keep the day exciting, whilst distracting me of course. This weather truly makes me feel that I live in Scotland!
My favourite part about spring after all the light is the spring flowers. Whenever tulips arrive in the stores I get so excited and want to buy more than one bouquet. This time I made an arrangement of pastel coloured tulips and roses, and man they are making me happy!!
