Visiting Friends – We had a fun night with friends playing Cards Against Humanity with visiting friends. We hadn’t had laughs quite as good in a long time! It was an absolutely fun night!
Easter Weekend – Although, I was working on a couple of the days during the Easter break it was still amazingly relaxing weekend full of delicious food and chocolate.
New Deodorant – I absolutely love my deodorant from Fine, but with its price tag I am happy that I’ve found another one, closer to home that has a much better price tag for my wallet! Evolve beauty have recently come out with a deodorant which is lovely! It is moisturising and doesn’t have a strong scent, in addition, it actually works and it’s made out of all natural ingredients. What more could you want! I do warn though, it has bicarbonate of soda. I wasn’t sure if my armpits could handle it and that is why I haven’t tried most natural deodorants in the UK, but Evolve also have small sample packs which helps you try whether it is suitable for you!
Spring Flowers – Spring brings spring flowers and oh how I love looking at them and smelling them, it is just such a delight! Having fresh tulips in the house lifts your mood like nothing else! I can’t wait until mongolia and cherry trees start to flower in front of our house. I’ve seen them flowering elsewhere, but I live slightly higher up and it comes later here.
A Lifecycle of a T-shirt – This little Ted-ed clip was great at explaining the process a garment goes through and how it pollutes the world. Although, I would’ve loved if they added how sustainable fashion is different to show a comparison! Still, the clip is very informative and interesting, especially for people who do not work in the fashion industry.
I finally finished Women Who Run With The Wolves – It felt like a process going through this book. It is not an easy read, but then again it is not supposed to be. It is a book full of ancient women’s wisdom for empowering women to be themselves and understand the psychological cycles they go through at different times of their life. It taught me a lot and I really recommend everybody to read it!
Cat’s New Scratching Post – Actually it is their first proper scratching post. I wanted them to stop scratching our couch! So I finally got a small scratching post with a little toy in it and two places to sit and it is slowly gaining acceptance with the cats. One of them loves to scratch it and the other one loves another spot for him to sit and stare at us from.
How was your week? I would love to hear!
After the busy start of the year, March took its toll and I spend most of the month gathering energy until the spring sunny days arrived and I started to feel more like myself again. March did not feel very productive, I am sorry to say, but I did watch a lot of tv and read few books.
A lot of exciting things happened which cheered this month for me. My sister came for a visit and my godson was born. Now I am procrastinating with plans on how to be the best godparent ever and what presents I can buy and make for the little one. His parents should expect him to be spoiled by me!
I got inspired by the rule of the Seventh Generation and I introduced you to the sustainable lingerie brand Anekdot. I wrote 50 facts about myself and gave a recipe for the breakfast (treat) that I’ve had for the past few weeks now.
By the end of the month, I reviewed the Mossa micellar water that I have been loving and linked 5 articles for self-development.
Overall it wasn’t a busy month. I relaxed a lot and gave myself time to think and rejuvenate myself for the exciting spring and summer months. Now I can’t wait for all the sunny days to come!
What were you up to in March?
Sister for a visit
My sister visited me for a few days. It was right at the time when I needed to see her and we had such a lovely time hanging around Glasgow and chatting a lot! We visited new and old places to eat, got inspired in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery and tested our knowledge in Harry Potter trivia (#harrypotter4life).
The Ultimate Zero Waste Kit
Ethical Unicorn wrote a post about the Zero Waste Kit by Bag Me. Basically, it was what I have been waiting for!
I often like to try something new and although I have done some sort of boxing before, it feels like something new when you haven’t done it in a long time. It was a lot of fun and really tough! NK also thought me how to do ball hockey shots.
Walks in the sunshine
The weather has actually been quite diabolical these past few weeks, with sunshine, rain and snow all appearing several times within a day. Fortunately, I have managed to get a walk in the sunshine, warming my mind and heart from the cold winter, in between the greyness.
I am not a fan of rain and wind, but when I’m at home and watching the weather changing every 15 minutes it does keep the day exciting, whilst distracting me of course. This weather truly makes me feel that I live in Scotland!
My favourite part about spring after all the light is the spring flowers. Whenever tulips arrive in the stores I get so excited and want to buy more than one bouquet. This time I made an arrangement of pastel coloured tulips and roses, and man they are making me happy!!
What are you happy about this week?
